Real-Time Machine Vision:

• X-ray and laser range imaging system to detect bones in boneless poultry
• Identification of stem/calyx of apples;
• Use of hyperspectral imaging to detect fecal contamination on canteloupes, apples and strawberries;
• Defect detection for apples and cucumbers;
• Chicken sex pattern recognition; and
• Use of hyperspectral imaging to detect walnut shells
• Infrared and laser range imaging system for noninvasive estimation of internal cooking temperature in poultry fillets

Biomedical Imaging:

• Use of thermography, laser Doppler imaging, and near-infrared spectroscopy to detect radiation tissue damage;
• Using multi-modality imaging techniques to assess vascularity in AIDS-related Kaposi’s sarcoma;
• Ultra-low-dose X-ray Multi-slice Helical CT; and
• Source analysis-based brain-computer interface (BCI) for wheelchair control by neurologically disabled patients
